There is no need to create an account and give consent to personal data processing when searching and viewing information from certain markets such as symbols, quotes, financial data as well as reports and other publicly available data like our blog.

Users registered for TQ Pro Accounts (“Paid Users”) must provide payment information (name, credit card information or Stripe account information). This information is used for billing purposes only and is processed by Stripe. The provider of this service is Stripe Inc. (185 Berry Street, Suite 550, San Francisco, CA 94107).
Payment processing services enable Techniquant to process payments by credit card or other means. To ensure greater security, Techniquant shares only the information necessary to execute the transaction with the financial intermediaries handling the transaction.
If you select payment via Credit Card, the payment data you provide will be supplied to Stripe based on Art. 6 (1) (a) (Consent) and Art. 6 (1) (b) DSGVO (Processing for contract purposes). You have the option to revoke your consent at any time with future effect. It does not affect the processing of data previously collected.
When you are making a payment, we do not have access to your personal and credit card information. Should we have any issues with processing an order, the provided email address is used to contact you.
How personal information is collected
A profile is a set of information for each individual user that details his/her viewing preferences. We do not use stored user settings for marketing purposes. User settings (watchlist settings, custom reports, filters, etc.) are kept solely for the purpose of customizing user experience when using Website. We do not share your private profile settings with any third parties.
When you create your profile on Website you agree that other users or visitors may access your public profile on our Website and see any information you have made available about yourself.
You can prevent storage of cookies by choosing a "disable cookies" option in your browser settings. However, you may not be able to use all the interactive features of the Website nor will you be able to access the paid areas if cookies are disabled.

When you create your profile on Website, you agree that other users or visitors may access your public profile on our Website and see any information you have made available about yourself.

Our Website allows Registered Users to share their scans, reports and watchlists comments added with the rest of the Internet.
By using setting content to “public” you agree to disclose the content as the name of the author which makes you identifiable. By default, all the content you created is marked as private.
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology in order to protect certain information that you submit. This type of technology protects you from having your information intercepted by anyone while it is being transmitted to Techniquant or Stripe. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the “lock” icon in the browser window is displayed, confirming that a secure, encrypted connection has been established with the Website. We work hard to ensure that our Website is secure and that we meet industry standards. We also use other safeguards, such as firewalls, authentication systems (e.g., passwords and personal identification numbers), and access control mechanisms to control unauthorized access to systems and data.
We are constantly improving the ways we collect, store and process data which including physical security measures that help us counter unauthorized access to our systems.
We also do our best to protect user information offline. All of our users' personal information is restricted to our offices. Only employees who need to see the information to perform their jobs are allowed to access it. The servers that store personally identifiable information are located in a secure environment in a locked facility.
How personal information is used
We send all new users a welcome activation email to verify their email address.
Paid Users will also receive a notification email from Stripe regarding invoices or if there are any issues with billing their cards.
Users cannot opt-out of these messages, though they can deactivate their account on the account profile page. Deactivating your account will cancel any currently active subscriptions.
We can notify you via email about new content on the site, assets reports, latest statistics update for your scans etc. You can refuse to receive such newsletters at any point in time by adjusting your user settings.
Announcements and Newsletters
On rare occasions it is necessary to send out service-related announcements or important newsletters. For instance, if our service is interrupted for a prolonged period or major functionality upgrade is released, we might send all users an email message. Also, we can sometimes use your email address to send marketing messages. Users can refuse to receive such messages in the future by clicking unsubscribe in one of the emails.
Disabling Intercom will reduce your access to in-app support and will mean you miss out on embedded help prompts. With Intercom disabled, your main means of support will be via our main support pages and the contact form.
If you are using our API services (such as the Reporting Library, Technical Analysis Terminal or REST API) then we can process your personal data in order to be able to provide and support those services.

Note that search engines as well as third parties can keep copies of your publicly available information for some time once your account has been deactivated. It should also be noted that published ideas will remain on the site and messages sent to other users can’t be deleted.
